Not content with wrecking turntables, Matthew Rozeik began composing music in 1999. The first few years were spent exploring and exorcising his musical conditioning, sculpting his own unique brand of electronically informed hip-hop beats, whilst injecting his love of all things rock into it. From the maelstrom emerged a tight, fluid and playful sound leading the listener through uncertain, yet rewarding territory. Combining violins, guitars, percussion and electronic beats, his music is forever shifting and leaping around, sometimes wholesome, sometimes dissonant. Along the way, Matthew has scored for short films and promos (work screened at the National Film Theatre, Munich Film Festival, BAFTA and the V&A Museum), had releases on Static Caravan, Awkward Silence and Cactus Island, and received support from Resonance FM and Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs Matthew is also one half of the band Button Men.
